I am Arul murugan and I am currently working as a postdoctoral fellow in Universite Libre de Brussels, Brussels, Belgium. I have completed my Ph. D from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. I am basically from Paramakudi, which is a town near Madurai, the city of temples. Just for fun I used to tell my friends, I am the third important person emerging from that town other two being Padmashree Kamalahasan and Anniyan famous Vikram. I am very much interested in literature and music. Rather, I was interested in pursuing my life as an artist but unfortunately it happened to me to continue my carrier in science. I do computer simulations. In between, when I read something interesting, I too write. May be many of my friends might be murmering the lines ‘கானமயிலாட கண்டிருந்த வான்கோழி..’. By the way, I have accumulated enough materials (if you admit me, I would like to call them as poems or short stories) to waste your time. But my friends like Ananda Ganesh say they are indeed good. But I am matured enough to understand that these words are to encourage me. I suddenly see the image of a mother patting her small son. Anyway, still I feel happy for those words. Thanks Anand ji. That’s the way, I call him.
